Angelina Jolie has beaten partner Brad Pitt in the latest Forbes magazine poll for ‘The World’s Most Powerful Celebrities,’ coming in at number three on the list.
Jolie was pushed from the top spot by talk show queen Oprah Winfrey and golfing legend Tiger Woods, who came in at numbers 1 and 2 respectively. Her Mr & Mrs Smith co-star, Pitt, just scraped in to make the number ten spot.
The annual Forbes magazine list is created using estimated earnings for the year, as well as the number of magazine covers and Google hits each celebrity receives over the course of twelve months.

2008 Forbes Celebrity 100 Power List released on Wednesday and Talk show host Oprah Winfrey is once again the world’s most powerful celebrity. It’s the for the fifth time overall for Oprah and this is the second straight year she has been on top.
The rankings give the most weight to earnings over the past year but also factors in such things as Internet presence, press clippings, magazine covers and mentions on TV and radio. Jolie for example was close to being number one in the list despite only making (a mere) $14 million, because the number of magazine covers that she was on, the number of stories she was mentioned in. Here’s the top ten and what they earned:

If newly-weds Beyonce and Jay-Z were hoping for some alone time at Cannes, P Diddy had other ideas.
The R&B super-couple - who haven’t had a honeymoon since their low-key wedding last December - held a party at the VIP Rooms.
But P Diddy gatecrashed the bash and had the hostess pulling out her hair extensions.
An insider at the champagne do on Friday night said: “Beyonce’s usually so mild-mannered but she was rolling her eyes as Diddy kept dragging her man off to party.
“She tried to win her hubby back by dancing up close to him but Diddy pulled him onstage and made him watch his raucous rendition of New York, New York.”

Producers of “Quantum of Solace” are apparently talking to Beyonce Knowles about singing the next Bond theme. The song to be recorded was written by Amanda Ghost and Beyonce would also work with Bond composer John Barry.
Amy Winehouse had the first “crack” at the Bond Theme working with Mark Ronson, but choose a different “crack” instead. Laughably, Winehouse’s spokesperson said at the time that Amy” “felt it was the wrong thing to get involved in.” Actually Ronson allegedly realized it was hopeless working with Winehouse in the current state she’s been in and abandoned the project.
Back to Beyonce, who after recently marrying Jay-Z, is rumored to be planning on leaving the music industry very soon. Her third album, which will be released this year, might be her last one. Supposedly, Beyonce plans to spend her time scouting talent for hubby Jay-Z’s upcoming label, The Carter Music Group. Beyonce’s first protégé is rumored to be an R&B artist named Chelsea Thomas.  So a Beyonce Bond song may be her swan song as well.

Last week, we reported that the Ashlee Simpson/Pete Wentz wedding was less than a month away, and today ET has revealed the date: May 17th.
The newly engaged couple will tie the knot at a private, undisclosed home in Los Angeles, a source said. About 120 guests have been invited to attend the shotgun nuptials, which will be kept private and hidden from the waiting media by large, fashionable tents - ala Beyonce Knowles.

Hollyscoop reports that Beyonce Knowles is indeed pregnant! Apparently Beyonce and Jay-Z’s sudden still unconfirmed wedding on April 4th wasn’t just a sudden whim. Also according to the sources the entire wedding party were told of the couple’s exciting baby news.
Don’t expect to see any media announcements about this exciting news anytime soon. Beyonce and Jay-Z just don’t roll like that and never confirmed that they were dating or getting married. We will have to wait for the baby bump to emerge. Congratulations to the couple!

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are mum, but their paperwork is doing the talking for them: The couple filed their signed wedding license Friday in Scarsdale, N.Y., PEOPLE has confirmed exclusively.
Scarsdale Town Clerk Donna Conkling tells PEOPLE the license – which lists the wedding date as April 4 – was received on Friday afternoon. The couple applied for the license just three days before the ceremony attended by friends and family, including Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles, her father/manager Mathew, her sister Solange, her Destiny’s Child pals Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the couple’s friend Gwyneth Paltrow.
Although the couple’s license was filed more than five days after the wedding – as required by law – Conkling tells PEOPLE it’s expected to be processed with the state without a penalty. (No special celeb treatment here: Conkling says the penalty is frequently waived.)
Though sources confirmed the wedding to PEOPLE, the couple have remained silent about their nuptials. Shortly after the wedding, Beyonce was spotted with a ring while joining Jay-Z on tour, but neither of them have publicly stepped out with new jewelry.

 We have now transitioned from are they getting married, where are the rings and now before you know it the honeymoon is over. Reports are newlyweds, Beyonce and Jay-Z, are already fighting. Yup, that’s what making it legal does to a couple.
The two were partying at the Hollywood Bowl where Jay-Z got up on stage to back presidential candidate Barack Obama. After a dig at George W Bush, the rap megastar tried to lift the mood by rapping over a few songs. Flicking through the DJ at the show decided to play their song, “Crazy in Love.” Jay-Z screamed at Beyonce and the audience,
“Fuck that. Sorry Bey but fuck that - let’s play something else.�
I feel the same way whenever that song starts playing on my iTunes. I tell my laptop the same thing.
Beyonce immediately stormed off. A source said, “He meant it as a joke, but Beyonce didn’t take it that way. After he came off stage, she confronted him, demanding to know what the hell his comments had been about. She was gesturing wildly and not looking happy.”
After some likely groveling by Jay-Z, They managed to kiss and make up, and were seen smiling and holding hands again.
The source also said Bey and Jay were showing off “their tattooed wedding ring fingers. Both have ‘IV’ - the date of their wedding’ - inked on.”

According to cousin Angelica Knowles, Beyonce Knowles is getting ready to retire as a recording artist. Beyonce is currently working on a new album, but now that she is married, Knowles is said to be planning to spend her time in the family business, scouting for talent for Jay-Z’s upcoming label, The Carter Music Group.
Allegedly, Beyonce has already found her first protege in an R&B artist, Chelsea Thomas. However, her reps couldn’t be reached for comment.
Retiring is such a fickle word for celebrities. I don’t doubt that Beyonce may take a break from recording and work with Jay-Z to find new and upcoming artists. That sounds like a rewarding experience. But with a snap of a finger she could be back in the studio or doing a farewell tour whenever she feels inspired.

The NY Daily News is reporting that Beyonce may be pregnant. Wouldn’t surprise me. Everyone else in Hollywood is turning up pregnant - so why not one more?
Buzz is building that this weekend’s quickie nuptials were actually a shotgun wedding. It would be the second for the Knowles’ family: At just 17, Beyoncé’s little sis, Solange, wed boyfriend Daniel Smith in the Bahamas after learning she was pregnant.
While reps for both J and B are neither confirming nor denying baby talk, the diva has indicated in the past that she’d like a big family: “I want to get married, and I really want a family. In a perfect world I’d have two boys and a girl.”
If the newlyweds aren’t yet expecting, they’ll soon have plenty of time to practice. Beyoncé is wrapping up shooting for her role as Etta James in the film “Cadillac Man.”

Singer/songwriter Alicia Keys has publicly congratulated rapper Jay-Z and his new wife Beyonce Knowles, who were married in a top-secret ceremony last week.
Although the couple’s representatives have yet to confirm the wedding took place, it has been reported Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, and Knowles exchanged vows on Friday evening and then threw a lavish party at the rapper’s TriBeCa apartment in New York.
And Keys couldn’t be happier for the newlyweds.
She tells OK! magazine, “All the best wishes possible, and I think that love is beautiful and when you love somebody, just let it shine and shine bright.”
Keys is the second star to extend warm wishes to the couple. Mary J. Blige offered her congratulations to Jay-Z, her current tourmate, at a concert on Saturday, before launching into her hit song “You’re All I Need.”

It was the blinging R&B wedding of the decade but no guns allowed, as Beyonce became Mrs Jay-Z.
The private ceremony was followed by a lavish party at the rapper’s Tribeca apartment in New York in front of family and A-list pals, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin and Destiny Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Guests were instructed to leave mobile phones and cameras at home and Beyonce’s family insisted a burly security team frisked any lesser-knowns.
Supposedly three guns were left in an amnesty box outside Jay-Z’s Tribeca apartment. Who said romance was dead, eh?
And it was an all-white theme of white roses, orchids, diamond-encrusted candelabras and a plush Egyptian cotton-lined marquee.
A source said: “It was such a romantic evening. Beyonce’s mom had been chief wedding planner and spent nearly $1.5 million on decor and flowers, making sure everything was all-white on the night.” And, of course, all the guests sported the color.
The couple, who have been together for six years, finally tied the knot and afterward, Jay-Z, 38, real name Shawn Carter, then made an emotional speech praising his lovely bride.
And Beyonce 26, serenaded her new husband by singing a Natasha Bedingfield inspired tune, with the words: “I love you, I love you, I love you.”
When the disco started with DJ Cassidy, a favorite of Jay-Z, doing the spining, and the newlyweds’ hit Crazy In Love came on, Beyonce performed a raunchy dance for Jay.
And the newlyweds made a dash for their crystal filled bedroom just before midnight.

There is no official confirmation yet but it now gone from speculation to belief that singer Beyoncé Knowles wed her longtime boyfriend, rapper Jay-Z, Friday night.
People Magazine cornered a family friend who said, “It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family.”
The wedding buzz began when the couple went to get a marriage license at a village hall in Scarsdale, N.Y., on Tuesday. A couple since 2002, Jay-Z, 38, and Knowles, 26, always kept quiet about their relationship, even as they were photographed together on romantic holidays around the world. So one wondered if the marriage license could be an April fools joke on the press.
But allegedly the ceremony took place, followed by a lavish party at the rapper’s Tribeca apartment that drew Beyoncé’s family (mom, dad and sister), her Destiny’s Child mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the couple’s friend Gwyneth Paltrow.

In addition to the details I posted earlier, the New York wedding of singers Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z is rumoured to be a small one, with the tables beneath the tent set up for about 30 guests.
According to The E-Biz, Jay-Z’s gym room has been set up for Beyonce to use as her dressing room, with a vanity and flowers moved in for the big day.
The ceremony is said to have started at 4 p.m., with guests being asked to wear ivory only on their invitations.
And perhaps the biggest update of all… Beyonce and Jay-Z plan on having not one, but two weddings! An insider has just revealed that a second, possibly larger wedding is already being planned to take place in France in a month’s time.
“It’s going to be May 4 in France,” the source said.

There is definitely a party At Jay-Z’s home tonight. But is the big celebration for Jay-Z’s nuptials with Beyoncé Knowles, or for his $150 million deal with Live Nation?
A source told the Daily News:
“Jay has invited some close friends, including Diddy, to his apartment in New York,” “He hasn’t said if it’s for his wedding.”
Several sources close to the families of Jay-Z, and Knowles, said they didn’t know anything about a ceremony. False marriage reports for Jay-Z, 38, and Knowles, 26, go back at least two years.
That hasn’t stopped Beyoncé’s dad, Mathew Knowles, from negotiating with at least one celebrity weekly with the offer of wedding pictures for sale. A magazine insider said:
“Mathew first started talking about wedding photos on Monday.” He said, ‘How much are you offering?’ There has been a back-and-forth since then, but he has not revealed the date. He is definitely talking about there being wedding pictures.”
Reps for both stars have stuck with “no comment,” although Beyoncé’s PR agents revised their position after initially calling the report “false.”
Celebrity friends of the couple known to be in the city include Kanye West, Pharrell Williams and Jermaine Dupri, who were spotted together in SoHo Wednesday night.

Kelly Rowland tells People magazine in its March 17 issue that she had plastic surgery last October to bring her “from an A-cup to a B-cup.”
As for the one-cup upgrade, Rowland says: “I didn’t want to have double Ds and be a little bitty size 2 - that would look nuts!”
The 27-year-old singer went under the knife after a long decision-making process.
“I was sick of not fitting into my tops,” she says. “There was this one really hot House of Dereon top - I just wanted to fill that out!”
Rowland says that top - designed by Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles - complements her new curves: “I put it on and I looked so good! I’m so happy. I feel complete.”
Rowland, who has released two solo albums, says she hesitated to discuss the surgery.

BEYONCE KNOWLES has signed up to star as jazz legend ETTA JAMES in CADILLAC RECORDS.
The former DESTINY’S CHILD singer will join ADRIEN BRODY and JEFFREY WRIGHT in Darnell Martin’s film.

Beyonce Knowles reportedly is busy planning an intimate wedding somewhere in New York, after fiance Jay-Z finally gave her the go ahead. The couple have been rumored to be engaged since June last year, but sources say the rapper has been reluctant to rush into marriage and was stalling for more time.
Supposedly Jay-Z had a change of heart during a recent romantic trip to Paris with the sexy singer, and has instructed her to start looking into venues.

Kanye West posted on his blog for the first time since the untimely death of his mother, Dr. Donda West, after plastic surgery in early November. He titled the entry “Thank you all for your support,â€?. Kanye didn’t get into the details about the tough time he went through or his mother’s passing. He just talked about how he loves to play Connect Four and how it helped him pass the time.  Here’s Kanye’s post:

Kanye and Beyonce were at the opening of Jay-Z’s 4040 club and casino in Las Vegas. There were plenty of high stakes games, gourmet food and expensive drinks these two millionaires could have enjoyed that night, but instead they were involved in a marathon Connect Four game outside of the action.

Miley Cyrus admits she’s not a typical 14-year-old. She gets in trouble with her mom and dad - and her offenses include losing a credit card and spending too much money in one day.
“Well, I had a credit card and it’s like you have to be responsible. I lost it in like two days,” Cyrus told Oprah Winfrey on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in a segment that aired Wednesday. “I’m still in trouble.”
Cyrus, the star of the Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana,” appeared with her father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. He said he doesn’t worry about her because “she’s got a great head on her shoulders.”
She said her mother, Tish, gives her news clippings about Beyonce Knowles as an example of a star remaining humble.
She surprised 100 screaming girls, who thought they were in the studio to compete to see who was the biggest “Hannah Montana” fan.
“I recommend earplugs,” she told Winfrey as the two of them walked into the room.
Miley told Winfrey that she’s allowed to date, but her dad is “like, weird” about it.

Justin Timberlake jostled with American Idol contestants Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry for gongs at this year’s American Music Awards.
Timberlake took trophies for best male pop-rock artist and best soul/R ‘n’ B album for his second solo release FutureSex/LoveSounds, but was overshadowed by contestants from the talent show.
2005 winner Underwood took home three awards, including favourite female country artist and best country album, while 2006 contestant Daughtry pipped Timberlake to the post in the favourite pop-rock album category.
Daughtry also won the breakthrough and adult contemporary artist awards and paid tribute to American Idol after his wins.
“The show didn’t make me who I am,” he said. “It just gave me a chance to show everybody else who I am.”
Despite being on house arrest while awaiting trial on weapons charges, rapper TI took two prizes in the hip-hop category, winning best male artist and best album.
Disney phenomenon High School Musical 2 took the favourite soundtrack album award, while Akon and Rihanna were victorious in the favourite male and female soul/R ‘n’ B artist categories.
And former Destiny’s Child star Beyonce Knowles took the international artist award, joining the illustrious company of previous winners Michael Jackson, Aerosmith and Rod Stewart.
“I’m so blessed to wake up every morning and do what I love. I’m so grateful, so honoured and so humbled by this award,” she said afterwards.
