Brittany Murphy and her writer-director husband Simon Monjack are just weeks away from celebrating their April 12 first anniversary. Now the couple have set their sights on reaching another milestone: Starting a family.
At a W Magazine-Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art gala over the weekend, Monjack, 38, told 
: “Please God, next year [we’re] having a family!”
“Yes! Yes!” chimed in Murphy, 30. “In about a year” they plan to have children. But, joked Monjack, “apparently, according to the Internet, I already have several!”
Murphy and her British writer-director husband already have endured their share of public scrutiny – via, as they put it, “the blogs” – over their sudden marriage
“All these ridiculous people came out and said all this nonsense when we got married, [but] thank god we had the substance and the history within that to [say], ‘Yeah, whatever!’” says Monjack, who’s been friends with Murphy since she was 17. “We still don’t understand what happened. It’s made us laugh, it’s made us cry, but it’s made us stronger.”
So, according to Murphy, the final solution for dealing with all the negativity: “We did stop using the Internet lately,” she said. “No blogs. We’re a blog-free couple!”

Brittany Murphy is a diva
Apparently Brittany Murphy forgot that she’s not important. She’s been acting like a total diva on the set of her new movie and driving the crew crazy with her outrageous demands. An insider told Page Six:
“She’s extremely difficult. When she gets to the set, it comes to a grinding halt. She’s so hot and cold, you never know.” According to our sources, Murphy insists on having diagonally cut peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with the crusts removed. “She needs one every hour. It’s painstaking — her assistant takes about a half an hour making each one.” (Source)
It takes her incompetent assistant half an hour to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!? I guess Heidi Montag must be more desperate for work than we all thought!

Perhaps put Brittany Murphy on the long list of actors that are difficult to work with. She is reportedly causing a fuss, with some diva behavior on the set on her new movie. Brittany is said to be driving the crew crazy on the LA set of “Across the Hall” with increasingly outrageous behavior, according to sources.
“She’s extremely difficult. When she gets to the set, it comes to a grinding halt. She’s so hot and cold, you never know.”
One of her more bizzare demands is insisting on having diagonally cut peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with the crusts removed.
“She needs one every hour. It’s painstaking — her assistant takes about a half an hour making each one,” said one crew member. ”
Another issue is Murphy’s ever-present oddball husband and screenwriter, Simon Monjack, who storms around the set and intervenes so much that producers had to call a meeting to discuss how to deal with him. Murphy’s rep could not be reached for their denials yet.

She use to be on top of the world by being in several movies and dating Ashton Kutcher but Brittany Murphy has faded a bit from the public spotlight.
She will be in the Sin City 2 sequel and has been doing several voice overs for animated movies and TV.

Back when we reported that Brittany Murphy had secretly married Simon Monjack in April, several readers responded that Murphy had better watch out, that ole Simon spelled trouble for the starlet.
And you were right, readers, as usual. Murphy & Factory Girl producer & writer Monjack surprised everyone by announcing they had married in April after only a few months of dating. The duo exchanged rings at a private LA home with only their families present, and didn’t even opt for a honeymoon. Â
According to reports, Monjack may not be what he first appeared to be to innocent Murphy.  With two outstanding warrants for his arrest in Virginia, for credit card theft & general fraud; an unpaid $6k legal bill as well as a $500k judgement against him by a British investment firm, this sounds more like an Oprah book than a Hollywood marriage.

Brittany Murphy may have married a British con man to keep him from being deported. Several weeks back Murphy married “screenwriter” Simon Monjack in a hush-hush ceremony at the couple’s Los Angeles home. Well the National Enquirer did a little digging and came up with some dirt on Monjack:

C’mon National Enquirer, this is reckless, irresponsible, scandalous reporting–a throwback to the days when yellow journalism reigned. It’s obvious Brittany married this dude because of his good looks. And by “good looks” I mean “dude looks like a retarded Jack Black”

Brittany Murphy has married her screenwriter boyfriend Simon Monjack. Spotted wearing wedding rings, the star has finally taken the plunge after breaking engagements to both ex-boyfriend Joe Macaluso in August 2006 and talent manager Jeff Kwatinetz after six months in 2004. The 29-year-old actress and Monjack were spotted sporting wedding rings at a Playboy magazine event at the Kentucky Derby on Saturday. Allegedly waiting to make a formal statement, reporters claimed that the couple tried to stop photographers from taking pictures of their rings.

The biggest celebrity shock at this year’s Kentucky Derby was the surprise marriage of actress Brittany Murphy to her boyfriend of just a few months, screenwriter Simon Monjack.
The newlyweds showed up in Louisville after a quick trip to Las Vegas and proceeded to party with their wedding rings on at the Playboy bash Friday night. A friend told Page Six that they had wed in secret. A rep for Murphy - whose credits include “8 Mile” and “Clueless” and who has been engaged more than once before - didn’t return calls.
Also at the Playboy party was actress Rebecca Budig and her husband, former “Bachelor” Bob Guiney, as well as Tom Brady, Bobby Flay - walking around with a woman who was not his wife, Stephanie March - and Julius “Dr. J.” Erving.
Downtown at the Stereo party, Kevin Federline was not amused when organizers brought him to a table in the VIP area he deemed was too small and said, “Yo, I need a bigger table - I got six bitches with me.”
After DJ AM finished his set, Federline hi-jacked the microphone from Kid Rock. K-Fed gave “shout-outs” to hot girls in the crowd and screamed, “I got four kids already - which one of you Kentucky girls wants to have my fifth?”
There were no takers, and a spy said Kid started to “tool” on Federline, making fun of him.
While Kid Rock was verbally jousting with Federline, his girlfriend, May Anderson, was giving her own performance. The Danish beauty lay on the floor of the club, pulled her skirt up and allowed her friends to take photos of her undergarments. “At least she was wearing them,” one spy mused.
Across the room, Scott Speedman was unsuccessfully hitting on every blonde at the party, including the sober former Miss USA, Tara Conner, while Star Jones and Al Reynolds ground hips nearby.
Meanwhile, Jimmy Fallon, who was with his girlfriend, producer Nancy Juvonen, all weekend, never made it to the Stuff magazine party Friday night because, a friend said, “His driver invited him to a fraternity party. He played beer pong until 5 a.m. with the Sigma Chi frat boys [from the University of Louisville] and flirted with sorority girls.”

Us Weekly is reporting that cutiepants Brittany Murphy has recently married scruffy screenwriter Simon Monjack. What the hell? How did that one slip by so easily, I wonder?Â
29-year-old Murphy was seen partying with Monjack at the Kentucky Derby Saturday, where they were both sporting wedding rings.
An insider reveals, “[Murphy and Montjack] were drinking Crown Royal, and [they] didn’t want photographers to take pictures of their rings because they were waiting to make a formal announcement on Monday.�
The insider goes on to say that, “They were dancing in the V.I.P. section and around DJ Reach’s booth. They looked very excited, happy and jovial.�
This is the very first marriage for Britt, who was engaged not just eight months ago to another fella & also dated Ashton Kutcher.
Murphy’s rep did not comment,  no big surprise there.
Wow, Britt married. Who knew? And to this rather scruffy looking screenwriter? What gives with that?Â
