Dannii Minogue’s close friendship with head X Factor judge Simon Cowell hasn’t saved her from getting the boot, with fellow judge Louis Walsh claiming that the Australian singer will “be axed from the show” at the end of the latest series.
Walsh revealed that Minogue’s rival, Sharon Osbourne, would be returning next year, and added that the crazed wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne would replace Minogue on the X Factor panel.
“Obviously Dannii would be the one to go,” Walsh said. “Having Sharon and Cheryl Cole on the show together is too good an opportunity to miss.”
Dannii is reportedly yet to be told about her impending axing, so no doubt the news will come as a bit of a shock to her.
Dannii Minogue’s no stranger to milking publicity, and since actress Lindsay Lohan has just turned down an offer to pose nude in Playboy, the 37-year-old Aussie has put her hand up, saying that she would consider stripping off again if the “right” amount of money was on offer.
The Australian singer and television presenter first graced the pages of the infamous men’s magazine 13 years ago, and enjoyed the experience so much that she would do it all over again, this year, if possible.
“I did Playboy when it was cool and I shocked myself and many others,” Minogue said. “But it was liberating at the time. I would do it again.”
Added the Under Pressure singer: “If the money was right, then sure. Who knows, it might happen this year too.”
Dannii’s rep, however, has said that her client has “no current plans” to pose for Playboy a second time.
“Dannii has no current plans to do Playboy magazine again,” the singer’s rep said. “She has no regrets either as the pictures were beautiful.”
He’s no stranger to performing in front of a camera - but Josh Hartnett’s latest role left his audience truly speechless.
The Pearl Harbor star took a mystery lady back to his hotel and their steamy shenanigans were caught on CCTV.
A whole team of hotel personnel watched dumbstruck as Josh pulled out all the stops in a breathtaking performance.
The lusty couple had sloped off to the Soho hotel’s library - but reading was the last thing on their minds.
Josh, 30, was far more interested in his leading lady than he was the complete works of Emile Zola. Says our mole: “Josh and the girl were getting pretty hot and heavy.
After stumbling in quite late, they legged it to the library and immediately closed all the curtains so that no one could see in.” So far, so considerate.
But our mole went on: “Unfortunately the hotel has security cameras all over the place - the library included.
“This means their every spit and cough was recorded, and cringing hotel workers saw all of Josh’s X-rated moves.
“No one quite knew where to look and there was a very awkward silence.
“Josh didn’t seem bothered that the library wasn’t locked and anyone could just burst in. He just kind of went for it.
“After the event, someone had a quiet word in Josh’s ear and he was asked to take his personal business elsewhere in future.
“Josh took it on the chin and didn’t kick up a fuss. He’s been as good as gold since.”
The actor is by no means the first celebrity to be caught out on camera.
Elizabeth Jagger and Calum Best’s drunken groping was filmed inside a Soho nightclub, while Dannii Minogue’s girl-on-girl romp in a lapdancing club was also recorded by CCTV.
Simon Cowell, (who is not having an affair with Dannii….), is considering firing Sharon Osbourne from The X Factor, one week after offering her a new contract.
Cowell, as creator and judge on the show is said to be furious with Osbourne’s comments about Dannii Minogue, who she said is only on the show because of her looks.
Cowell, who found her comments disgusting said:
“I will sit down with Sharon after the final and discuss things then. We have got three acts who have the biggest night of their lives ahead of them, that is all I am worried about right now.”
Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue were caught holding hands as they left BBC TV Centre after Children In Need together. They appear together on the British television music talent show ‘The X Factor’ and Simon hand-picked the Australian to sit on the judging panel earlier in the year.
After Dannii took the hot seat on the X Factor panel she told YOU magazine that should couldn’t wait to get up close to the show’s Mr Nasty.
“I can’t wait to be part of The X Factor team and getting up close and personal on a daily basis with Simon.”
And she admitted: “Simon’s very fanciable! Danii told press, “I think he’s met his match, though - I’m as big a flirt as he is!?
Hard to say if it’s a budding relationship or not but the chemistry when they apprear together does seem to be real. Of course Simon’s long-term girlfriend Terri Seymour probably disagrees.
Pop star Kylie Minogue has been honored with a prestigious music industry award.
Stunning the crowd at a charity gala hosted in her honour, Kylie looked the picture of elegance in a Dolce & Gabanna golden brown gown.
She said she was ‘overwhelmed’ to be presented with the Music Industry Trust’s 2007 award in ‘recognition of her universally acclaimed status as an icon of pop and style’.
Clearly taking her recent movie White Diamond about her battle with breast cancer, to heart, she dazzled in diamond earrings from jeweller Tous.
And the bodice of her floor-length dress sparkled with thousands of Swarovski crystals.
Dolce & Gabanna had dressed her personally for the event at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane and she repaid the favour by dressing head to toe in D&G including her bag and shoes.
Her sister, Dannii, who is currently a judge on ITV’s X-Factor, accompanied her dressed in a column of silver by Australian designer Martin Grant.
Dannii presented the award to her sister after she gave an exclusive performance of her new single 2 Hearts.
Kylie said: “It is an incredible honour to be the recipient of this year’s Music Industry Trust’s award and I’m truly thrilled to be recognised in this way.”
The award has raised more than £2.7million for its two charities, Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and the BRIT Trust.
David Munns, chairman of the award committee, said: “There is no doubt that of our 15 award recipients to date, Kylie is by far the most glamorous.
“She deserves this award for her success over 20 years, staying at the top in one of the toughest professions and inspiring millions with her grace, dignity and humanity.”
Previous winners of the award, now in its 16th year include Sir Elton John and Peter Gabriel.
Earlier this month she picked up the Idol accolade at the Q Awards for a career spanning three decades and more than 40 million global album sales.

It's grainy and not really all that titillating, but sure enough, that's Dannii Minogue having fun with a lapdancer. Now for me, there's nothing that weird about a girl going on a night out and having a laugh with her mates at a lapdancing club... after all, women look a lot nicer than men with no clothes on don't they?
Obviously, all and sundry threw their arms up in despair when they found out that Kylie's sister was a lesbian. Even though she quite clearly isn't. Now, Dannii has ordered her lawyers to buy the rights to the photos taken last year. The X Factor judge is now hoping to get the images taken down from the internet.
When the photos were first published, Minogue said: "I was totally set up.
"It woke me up to the fact that there are some creepy, nasty people out there willing to do anything take advantage of someone famous."
If I was Ms Minogue, I'd leave them up. They don't damage her reputation, and really, all it shows is a girl out on the lash and having a laugh. In terms of people pawing over the snaps... well... she wore nothing but a smile in a calendar, so I wouldn't worry none.

X Factor's clearly imminent, is anyone excited? I didn't think so. Still though, they're all doing their best to drum up some excitement and publicity and new judge Dannii Minogue is throwing in her two cents in the Louis Walsh/Simon Cowell/you're fired mate debacle.
According to the Aussie pop minstrel the firing and re-hiring earlier this year was by no means a publicity stunt. And of course I believe her. Ahem. Minogue insisted that Simon Cowell is too fond of Walsh to have fired him for publicity, telling The Guardian:
"Simon and Louis are such great friends. You couldn't do it as a PR
stunt, but poor Louis! Imagine being upset and thinking your friend did
that."
Minogue also maintained that Walsh's relationship with Cowell has
survived his sacking, saying: "I tell them they are like two old women.
They love chatting and catching up."
"It reminds me of the film Beaches
when there are two girls on the sun-loungers with blankets on their
knees - that's going to be Louis and Simon in their twilight years,
looking out over the ocean."
A harsh rap for Louis but now that he's back the bitching between the pair can continue all over our screens, much to the delight of trashy TV lovers everywhere. Let's face it, it's the only reason the show's remotely worth watching these days, eh?
