In an interview to air Monday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the new bride, presses Ryan Seacrest, 33, on why he can’t seem to find love. Ryan said he has been “so busy” he hasn’t had time to look for love.
“Yes, but you’re going to wait too long and get in a rut being single,” said DeGeneres, who wed Portia de Rossi this past summer.
So Ellen then decides to fix up Ryan Seacrest after he lamented about his lackluster love life, according to excerpts of the show.
DeGeneres then held up photos of famous women — Pam Anderson, Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, Eva Mendes and Jennifer Aniston — and asked Seacrest to pick one.
“They don’t know about this,” she says of the possible love interests she places before Seacrest, “but just as an idea of who would you choose out of these woman right here.”
“You have Eva,” points out Seacrest. “She’s gorgeous, and Jennifer is great, too.”
“You’re saying Eva Mendes, who you go to right away,” notes DeGeneres.
“Yeah, I kind of went there first,” says Seacrest. “I like Carrie, but then I kind of feel like she is part of Idol thing, so I don’t l know if that’s the right thing to do, to think about her in that way.”
Spears, he said, “is young and obviously there’s enough going on and that’s not for me.”
But Mendes, he went on, “is great.”
“Would you like me to set you up with her?” DeGeneres asked.
“Yeah,” said Seacrest.

For now, Seacrest has one famous lady in his life, Paris Hilton. On Friday, he announced that they will develop a new scripted series together. For months, Hilton, Paris Hilton Entertainment’s Jason Moore and Seacrest – who produces the hit E! series Keeping Up With the Kardashians, featuring Hilton’s friend Kim Kardashian – have been in talks about the project. Details on the new series are not yet available.

Ryan Seacrest has made it known - on global television - that he wants actress Eva Mendes.
The American Idol host was so busy lamenting about his lack of a love life on the latest ep of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that newlywed Ellen decided it was about time he hooked up, and announced she was going to help him snag one of Hollywood’s leading ladies.
“You’re going to wait too long and get in a rut being single,” Ellen told Seacrest, after he said he’d been too “busy” to look for love.
Ellen then held up photos of some of the world’s most famous (and currently single) women - Pamela Anderson, Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, Eva Mendes and Jennifer Aniston - and told Seacrest he had to pick one of them.
Seacrest instantly picked Mendes, who he said was “gorgeous.”
“I kind of went [for her] first,” he explained to DeGeneres. “I like Carrie, but then I kind of feel like she is part of the Idol thing, so I don’t know if that’s the ring thing to do.” Considering Carrie won Idol a few years back, I’d say she definitely categorizes as being “part of the Idol thing.”
“[But Mendes] is great,” Seacrest added.
When Ellen asked, “Would you like me to set you up with her?” Secrest instantly replied, “Yeah.”
Looks like Ellen’s got some work to do…

The celebrities were out at the 7th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball last night, including newlyweds Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller, who were just married the night before. Chrysalis, is a Los Angeles-based organization that helps homeless men and women find jobs and homes.
Inside, the evening almost served as a “Grey’s Anatomy” with Katherine Heigl, Kate Walsh, Eric Dane, T.R. Knight, James Pickens Jr. and Justin Chambers.
Other famous faces in attendance at the Butterfly Ball included emcee Chris Kattan, co-chair Rebecca Gayheart, Eva Mendes, Jason Lewis, and Amaury Nolasco. The event was said to have raised over $1 million for Chrysalis.

Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and several of their famous colleagues - including newlyweds Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller - spread their wings Saturday night at the exclusive Butterfly Ball fundraiser benefiting Chrysalis, a Los Angeles-based organization that helps homeless men and women find jobs and homes.
“We love it, and we really believe in it,” Moore said before the event.
Sheen and Mueller created a stir among photographers and reporters when they arrived on the ball’s purple carpet. It was the first public appearance by the recently married couple, who wed Friday night. The “Two and a Half Men” star and real estate developer were engaged last summer after meeting at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in 2006. The newlyweds didn’t stay for this year’s ceremony.
Inside, the evening almost served as a “That ’70s Show” reunion. Before dinner, Topher Grace stopped by Kutcher’s table, just a few seats away from fellow former “’70s Show” co-star Mila Kunis. Kutcher and Grace were interrupted by 15-year-old singer Spensha Baker, who performed after Geffen Records chairman Ron Fair was honored. Baker was eager to meet the “What Happens in Vegas” star.
The casts of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice” were also out en masse to laud executive producer Mark Gordon during the ceremony, which was attended by over 800 people. Among them: Katherine Heigl, Kate Walsh, Tim Daly, Eric Dane, T.R. Knight and Justin Chambers, who has no idea what will ensue following his character Alex’s steamy season finale kiss with Heigl’s Izzie.
“We go back in three weeks,” Chambers told The Associated Press before the festivities. “I have no idea what’s going to happen. It’s always so last minute that we really have no clue what’s going to happen. I just want the writers to keep making an entertaining show. They always have a way or surprising us actors.”

Kirsten Dunst checked into rehab earlier this year and speculation was it had something to do with her alleged hard drinking ways. Kirsten does have a reputation for boozing it up with the tabloids and many refer to her as Kiki Drunst. Kirsten set out to dispel the rumors and told E!’s Marc Malkin that she went to rehab because she was suffering from depression.
Dunst said, “I went there for depression. It was a good six months before I decided to go away. I was struggling, and I had the opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself. I was fortunate to have the resources to do it. My friends and family thought it was a good idea, too. But I didn’t know where to go. My doctor recommended Cirque Lodge.â€?
Kristen went on to say, “Depression is pretty serious and should not be gossiped about.�
Well Hot Momma does think depression is a big deal and should be taken seriously. But I have to wonder why then would Dunst choose Cirque Lodge, which advertises their facility as a drug and alcohol treatment center? One would think her depression could be treated quietly by a qualified psychiatrist? Just thinking out loud I guess. It also strikes me funny how much this sounds like a recent Eva Mendes story. Eva also checked herself into Utah’s Cirque Lodge rehab facility late last January here, for “personal issues.� But recently there were claims that Eva was actually researching a film role.

Eva Mendes checked herself into Utah’s Cirque Lodge rehab facility late last January here, for “personal issues.” Star Magazine, which is been on a strange roll lately, claims Eva was actually researching a film role.
Acting coach John Kirby who has not worked with Mendes, told the magazine, “It’s not unusual at all for an actor or actress to go to the extreme of checking into rehab to prepare for a character. In fact, I would encourage that for my students, because you want to fully immerse yourself in the role.”
For the role in question, Eva plays a Spanish drug lord in the movie “Queen of the South.” Her character flees Mexico for Spain when her drug-runner boyfriend is murdered. So what does this have to do with rehab?
Variety reported that Mendes had been added to the cast, on May 6th, and in their plot synopsis gives no indication that Teresa enters rehab in the film.
Eva was in rehab in January, before the cast announcement was made, so you would have to believe she accepted the role earlier, or was trying to show her commitment to win the part? I don’t really buy it, but if this story is true, maybe she should have gone undercover to acting school instead?

I must say, I have never found Eva Mendes attractive and have not been able to work out what the attraction is for so many people.

Eva Mendes says she’s “taking a break and having a good time” by exercising and being with her family, after spending several weeks in rehab. Actually she’s seems to have popped in and out of rehab a few times to appear at special events.
Earlier this year, the Mendes entered Utah’s Cirque Lodge for what her rep called “outside professional support” for “some personal issues,” a nice way of saying, some kind of substance abuse problems.
Mendes, 34, in a Rose-designed dress, appeared at a luncheon co-hosted by Fresh Cosmetics and the new clothing line Rose at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
She told People Magazine on Tuesday:
“The sun’s out again. It’s my time. I’m actually taking advantage of my time off. You know, I had a film that was pushed, so I’m home spending time with my family, going to the gym and actually enjoying taking care of myself …. This year has been great for me because I’ve learned how to relax. The last three years have been amazing but kind of crazy. So I don’t know, I feel grounded. I feel really good.”
To maintain her sexy shape, she says, she’s “sticking to my exercise regime,” working out four days a week with trainer Harley Pasternak, doing cardio and light weights.
Adds Mendes, who is in a longtime relationship with producer George Gargurevich:
“I’m getting a lot of love in the love department, too.”

Which actress went into rehab only after she suffered a miscarriage? She was on a four-day cocaine bender when she lost the baby she didn’t even know she was carrying.
Assuming it’s true (these blind items usually have some legs) the most recent rehab candidates that come to mind are Kirsten Dunst and Eva Mendes who were both admitted to the Cirque Lodge rehab facility in Utah recently. What do you folks think?
