Jennifer Lopez competed in her fist race, in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon today (Sunday), finishing the race in 2 hours, 23 minutes and 28 seconds. Wearing forest green Juicy sweats when she arrived Sunday morning, the singer-actress changed quickly into her wetsuit before the swim portion as Peterson and a bodyguard held up towels to shield her from the paparazzi. Also watching: Her fans, who offered their love.
Matthew McConaughey, also competed in the triathlon held at Zuma Beach. Camila Alves spent some of the race time in the VIP area, holding son Levi in a baby bjorn.
Lopez was cheered on from the sidelines by husband Marc Anthony, who escorted her to a VIP area (naturally) with his arm securely around her after she crossed the finish line, exhausted, but with her fists pumped in victory. And Lopez was accompanied along the way by her trainer Gunnar Peterson, who was not racing himself, but was there to help out. In the VIP area, Lopez met up with McConaughey, former Wedding Planner costars with a big hug.

on Sunday.
The singer, 39, pumped her arms in the air and smiled broadly as she crossed the finish line of the swimming-running-biking event.
“Thank you guys so much,” she told the crowd. “This is an amazing day.
“I feel really great and so glad I finished and that I made it out of the water but more amazing than that, I feel really great that we raised $127,000 for the Children’s Hospital [of Los Angeles] and hopefully it’ll go to good use,” Lopez added.
Husband Marc Anthony was on the sidelines being supportive. The couple kissed between the biking and running portions of the race.
After finishing, Lopez joined her family and Matthew McConaughey, who came in before her, in the VIP area. McConaughey was accompanied by his girlfriend Camila Alves and their newborn son Levi.
McConaughey’s race time was 1 hour, 30 minutes and 44.7 seconds.
Lopez’ participation raised $127,000 for the Children’s Hospital of L.A. and the entire event raised $950,000.
Lopez and Anthony are expected to return to NYC after the event to host his 40th birthday bash Sunday night.
Fans and fellow participants were seen cheering on Lopez and giving her high-fives.
Lopez was inspired to run a triathlon while eight months pregnant with twins Max and Emme, who were born in February.
“I was beached like a whale,” Lopez — Self magazine’s Most Inspiring Woman of 2008 — said on ABC’s Good Morning America last month.
“I was watching TV, and I saw a triathlon and I said, ‘You know what? I think I could do that, that would be great for me to do. Maybe I’ll do it this year,’” she explained.
“Swimming is a killer,” Lopez admitted. “I’m not going to lie.”
She also joked that she is determined to finish the race even if she “has to crawl across that finish line.”

Marc Anthony had three very special new additions to his usual tour entourage as he arrived for a performance in Belgium today - his wife Jennifer Lopez and baby twins Emme and Max.
The family of four arrived in Zaventem via private jet, Jennifer emerging first cradling her daughter while Marc followed behind with the couple’s son in tow.
Despite her precious cargo, the new mother didn’t exactly choose practicality over glamour, stepping off the plane in towering heels.
Anthony previously discussed taking his four-month-olds on tour, saying: ‘When I perform… they will inspire me.’
And added that he only has one backstage demand: ‘I just need toys for the kids.’
The tour will move on to Spain after the Belgium show before finishing up in Italy on July 2nd.
Anthony is one of the most popular Latin singers of all time and has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide.
The singer and his wife have barely been apart since their marriage in 2004 and the couple enjoyed a joint tour together last year where Lopez announced her pregnancy.
He says his 38-year-old wife is revelling in her new role as a mother.
‘She’s such an amazing mom and I’m so proud of her. She’s such a gem to watch.’
Still, she will soon return to work, and has a number of film projects lined up, including the romantic comedy, Love and Other Impossible Pursuits.

Is it just me or is climbing down steep stairs in four-inch platform heels carrying a newborn baby kinda unsafe? I mean, she’s not even looking down. One little misstep and that poor baby is flying onto the concrete, it’s head cracking open like a Cadbury Creme Egg in the hands of a ten-year-old sugar addict on Easter morning.* I guess she’s being a little cocky because she has two of ‘em. Understandable.
A group of eight students from PS 37 in Staten Island’s Great Kills neighborhood, had a very special guest in attendance for their graduation today: Jennifer Lopez.
The singer/actress visited the facility, a school for autistic children, to see the group of 10-and-11-year-olds perform her song “Let’s Get Loud” at their graduation ceremony.
The class was first introduced to Lopez’s music a few months ago when they had to choose a song to dance to at graduation. Teacher Kathy Amati and paraprofessional Rose Mondella showed the students the “Let’s Get Loud” video as a suggestion, and the class of eight boys loved it. They wanted to watch it every day and learned all of the lyrics and dance moves from the video.
“The kids don’t even really understand how famous she is,” said Ms. Amati. “They just really like her singing and dancing.”
After observing the boys’ enthusiasm, Ms. Amati and Ms. Mondella decided to have the children write letters to Lopez, which were sent to her fan clubs. While their teachers were only hoping for a few pictures or maybe even an autograph, the students always expected more.
“From the minute we wrote the letters, they just automatically thought she would come,” Ms. Amati said.
Finally, a response from the singer came yesterday afternoon when one of her representatives called the school wanting to know the time of the graduation ceremony because Lopez wanted to attend.

Forget what you may have read in the past 18 months about the thousands of dollars Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spent on their baby, Suri, at luxury baby boutique Petit Tresor.
Just pretend you didn’t read about the $45,000 eggshell-blue-themed baby room with a custom-made antique crib and blue walls with floating clouds. Or the spring dresses and T-shirt sets that read “Big Sister.”
That’s because you weren’t supposed to learn the details of their shopping habits, and Cruise and Holmes are taking steps to make sure of that.
After one of Cruise’s entertainment lawyers sent a tough letter to the Los Angeles store, accusing it of leaking confidential and false information that the couple had spent $350,000-400,000 at the store on their daughter, store owner Samantha Winch reached out and made peace.
“We didn’t leak any information,” Winch told ABCNEWS.com. “We don’t leak. It’s our policy not to discuss our celebrity clientele.”
Winch said that she has conducted an “internal investigation” of her staff and is convinced that none of the staffers at her stores leaked the information. The store’s other celebrity clients include Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera.
So, where did the information come from? “One of the shops is on Robertson Boulevard, and there are paparazzi up and down the street all the time,” she said.
As for the amount spent at the store, Winch said that Cruise and Holmes have spent significantly less than the reported amount.
Cruise lawyer Aaron J. Moss said he takes Winch at her word.
“We have been contacted by the store, which has assured us that they will not mention them in the future.”
As for Winch’s claims that none of her employees have leaked information, Moss said that Life & Style magazine printed an on-the-record comment from one of the store’s representatives.
At this point, there is no indication of a lawsuit and “we think it’s been resolved,” Moss said.
While it is common for celebrities to request confidentiality when it comes to their private lives, breaches of privacy do not usually end up in court unless they involve medical records or intimate family secrets.
UCLA Medical Center fired 13 workers and disciplined another 12 for improperly obtaining the Spears’ records when she stayed at the hospital’s neuropsychiatric unit last year. One rogue employee snuck a look at the confidential files of 32 celebrities and high-profile patients in 2006 and 2007.
In 2006, Lopez sued ex-husband Ojani Noa for violating a confidentiality agreement by publishing a book with private details about their relationship. Previously, Noa had sued the singer, claiming that she had fired him as manager of her restaurant without cause.
And Rob Lowe and his wife recently sued two former nannies and an ex-chef, claiming they violated confidentially agreements by divulging personal information about the couple. One of the nannies countersued, claiming that she was sexually harassed, which the Lowes denied.
Are Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony actually caring for their 3-month-old twins, Max and Emme, without the help of nannies? Yes they are, reports Us Weekly. The magazine says that the couple’s nanny “abruptly left? in mid-April, and they have since decided to hold down the fort on their own.
How will they do it? Apparently, by not taking on too many projects in the near future. “They both told their managers that the next year would be all about family,? a source told the magazine. Perhaps the “abrupt? departure of the nanny had something to do with the family’s reality show? Watching a stranger take care of Max and Emme wouldn’t exactly make great television …
And it seems like the same is true for the actress who plays her, Sarah Jessica Parker. While developers of her Coty perfume lines, “Lovely” and “Covet Pure Bloom,” insist that Parker “was never asked to be on the Home Shopping Network because of her schedule,” HSN insiders get the impression that Parker “doesn’t want to ever appear” on the channel. Coty confirmed Parker’s two scents will be hawked on the dial-in shopping channel this month, but say the deal hardly involved her. Company reps told Page Six the “Sex and the City” star approved the deal, but “Coty signed with HSN, not Sarah Jessica.” Parker’s perfume launch is part of a celeb trend segment on the network - but don’t expect to see Jennifer Lopez, Calvin Klein and Gwen Stefani hawking their fragrances, either, to the folks at home.

TLC announced yesterday that Jennifer Lopez will be starring in a new reality show on the channel. The “docu-series” will chronicle Lopez juggling her career with being a mom. TLC President **Caution: Hyphenated Last Name Ahead** Angela Shapiro-Mathes said in a statement:
“Jennifer is unbelievably passionate about life and will be an incredible role model for our audience.”

Jennifer Lopez will star, co-create and co-executive produce a reality show for TLC. The show will follow JLo as she juggles her career and motherhood after she gave birth birth to twins Max and Emme on February 22. The show is currently in production and no air-date has been announced. TLC is calling it a “docu-series,” but that’s just fancy talk for “another reality tv show.”
JLo said, “I am excited to be part of the TLC family. I’m looking forward to sharing this exciting journey together.” Translatation, “Hahaha! I’m getting paid sooo much money. I think reality tv shows are great vehicles for comebacks for those whose careers are wanning. But this is kind of new territory. How will this affect the career of a mega-star?
