Continuing the “Disney Dream Portrait Series” that has put stars in all kinds of Disney fantasies, Annie Leibovitz trained her famous lens this time on the undersea world of Ariel, heroine of “The Little Mermaid.” She dressed actress Julianne Moore and American swimming Olympic champion Michael Phelps in tails and scales.
This latest installment of Leibovitz photography is part of her acclaimed series of the “Year of a Million Dreams” celebration on both coasts. The Magical Kingdom photos followed a simple recipe this time: Just add water.

In addition to her heavily made-up spread in French Vogue, she’ s in the new, US edition of Bazaar. AS if Julianne Moore doesn’t have enough to do, the actress is an interior designer on the side. Moore decorated her stylist Leslie Fremar’s West Village rental for Domino magazine’s cover next month - and did it for less than $15,000. In addition, we’re told Moore has “decorated at least six homes, plus some of her friends’ places.”

Natassia “Scarlet” Malthe has been tearing up Tinseltown in a new scarlet-colored Lamborghini Gallardo that cost $700,000. Word is it was a gift from a studio as a signing bonus for another new project. When asked about it outside Elton John’s pre-Oscar party the Norwegian/Asian beauty was tight lipped.
Expensive tastes are becoming a theme with Scarlet, who was spotted at the same party wearing a Zac Posen dress and $300,000 worth of custom Loree Rodkin jewelery. And in a London last week, Scarlet was making waves with a bespoke Julien MacDonald dress covered in £1 million (about $2M US) of diamonds at the BRIT Awards.

It started innocently enough. Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham was originally signed up to model the forthcoming spring/summer 2008 fashion line for fashion designer Marc Jacobs. Once signed up she was asked to get naked for the revered campaign, following in the footsteps of stars including Julianne Moore, Dita Von Teese and Naomi Campbell who have stripped for Jacob’s charity t-shirt collection in the past. Maybe she should have seen it coming? It’s all for a good cause, to raise money for skin cancer charities. Jacobs raised $60,000 for such good causes in 2006 with the previous line of t-shirts which sold in the designer’s stores for just $5.
A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror:
“Victoria loves Marc’s work but wasn’t entirely comfortable with getting naked. Marc went all out to persuade her.”And when she heard about what a great cause it was she knew she just couldn’t turn him down. The picture she and Marc have chosen is amazing - sexy but tasteful.”
Meanwhile Becks and the rest of the Spice Girls have been told “not to give it all away” when it comes to tickets to their shows. Their clebrity pals will need to find tickets on their own like every other fan because the group has been banned from giving away free tickets.
The girl group’s manager Simon Fuller has declared that even Hollywood A-list fans are exempt from receiving passes, forbidding the quintet from inviting guests to any of their 40 concerts on their comeback tour - which has already sold more than 750,000 tickets.
